The first month of the year is now behind us, and what a way to start the year it was. It’s been a while since I’ve had a month this packed with everything. Work took up most of the time, but there was still a bit more in the mix – and the camera was pretty much in my hands every single day in one way or another.January in numbers:

Total edited photos: 2,828The absolute highlight of the month was the Tampere Indoor Meeting – the very first time I got to photograph an athletics event. Just getting to be there and shoot was an experience in itself, but what came after the event was something I truly didn’t expect.Every now and then I find myself wondering if I can really build a proper career out of this – something I could keep doing for as long as I want. Well, the response after that event gave me a strong belief that maybe everything I dream about is actually possible.The amount of positive feedback I received from athletes – how many asked to use the photos and how widely they were shared – completely took me by surprise. It honestly felt like something out of a dream I’d only dared to imagine happening in real life.So, to everyone who has used, shared, or messaged me about my photos after the event – thank you. It’s made a huge impact, and I’m truly grateful.And now on to February and everything it has to offer.
